If you would rather be at home, we want to give you some ideas for games that allow you to connect with your family or friends and get some laughs along the way. Many of these games have several variations, so we will give you the essence of each game and you can easily find the exact rules online if you are not already familiar with them.

Who Am I?

This game is pretty simple. Each player gets a sticky note stuck to their forehead with the name of a famous person. Each player has to guess the name of the person on their own forehead by asking everyone else simple “yes” or “no” questions. It can be questions such as Am I a female? Am I a historical figure? Am I currently alive? If the answer to your question is yes, then you get to ask another one. If the answer is no, then it’s the next person’s turn to ask questions and try to guess the name on their own forehead. The first player to guess the identity of their mystery person is the winner! Everyone else can keep playing for second and third place, or you can start a whole new round with completely different mystery people.

El dorado

Here it is important to be creative with letters. One person says one word and the next follow up with a word beginning with the last letter of the previous word. Afghanistan - Norway - Yemen and so on. The one who doesn’t come up with a word goes out and in the end, there is a single winner left. 

Suggestions for categories: cities, countries, food, animals, plants, celebrities, movie characters.

Charades

Divide the guests into two teams. The participants in each team will write a note with a word, fold it, and put it in a bowl. Each team member draws a note and then has to dramatize what is written on the note. It is important for the others in their own team to guess what it is as quickly as possible. The next note is drawn by the opposing team doing the same.

To make it a little easier, for example when children participate, you can decide that the words should be, for example, animals to be imitated, famous artists, a profession, etc.

Tangled

Participants should stand together in a circle while keeping their eyes closed. You should then go closer into the circle and grab the first hands you feel. Then the people can open their eyes and entangle it into one or more rings, without letting go of each other, either by crawling under or over someone's arms, etc.

Tin of sardines

This is a really fun game that usually goes home among both children and adults. It acts as the hide and seek game, with the difference that one hides and all the others search. When you find the person who is hiding, it is important to crawl together and sit close to the one you found, without revealing where you are. When everyone has found the hiding place, you start again, it is suggested that the person who first found the other hiding place hides.

Hot & Cold

Select one household item for hiding. Player 1 closes his eyes while Player 2 hides the item somewhere in the room. Once the item is properly hidden, Player 2 searches for it slowly and deliberately while Player 1 assists with verbal clues. If Player 2 is not at all close to the item as he searches, Player 1 says, “You’re cold,” but as he gets closer to the hidden item, Player 1 responds, “Getting warmer…” When Player 2 is very close to the item, Player 1 says, “You’re hot!” The verbal temperature indicators aid in finding the item.

Lip-reading challenge

The name of this game is pretty self-explanatory. Write as many different words or phrases on slips of paper and mix them all up in a hat. You can play this game as a single group just to have some laughs, or you can split up into two teams and compete. One person from the team needs to put some headphones on and play loud enough music so they can’t hear anything else in the room. The rest of their team draws phrases from the hat and says them out loud, while the person with the headphones tries to read the words off their lips. The teams can take turns in 2-minute intervals or simply draw a certain number of cards each. Whichever team has the most correct answers, in the end, is the winner. Needless to say, the amount of ridiculous stuff that will come out of people’s mouths will have you gasping for air with laughter!
